The 2015 Mont-Blanc Marathon races were a huge sporting success.
The event has grown up considerably in recent years even though we are a nonprofit organization and depend on volunteers and the willpower of local communities.
Given the amplitude of the event, organization is key to improve the well-being and safety of all runners, and in 2016 the Mont-Blanc Marathon will become even more professional.
Our races are in mountains, they are difficult (especially the Mont-Blanc 80km race), and we know it. It is essential that all runners are aware of this and properly prepared.
But there are also more accessible races like the Mont-Blanc 10KM or 23km!
With the Mont-Blanc 80KM in particular, we have the opportunity to run into preserved and privileged areas. For these races to continue through these locations, it is essential having a respectful behavior from runners and their companions... Too many races disappeared because local communities and conservationists have been overwhelmed. Vallorcine is a stunning village, we must respect this exceptional spot!
Prepare yourselves well, and we'll see you soon on the paths of the 2016 Mont-Blanc Marathon.
