The course of the Mont Blanc 80k raced in 2017 will be the same in 2018. After different cartographic controles and gps and ITRA mesure, the course length is 91km and 6220m of positive and negative gain. The Mont blanc Marathon organisation has decided to reappoint the race "Mont Blanc 90k", maximum time for the race stay the same in 24 hours.
The Mont-Blanc 90KM race has become legendary in the Chamonix Mont-Blanc Valley. With its 91km and 6220 meters of vertical, it has been recognized as one of the most technical trail races in France. The 90km race is difficult but it is also one of the most beautiful!

The Mont-Blanc 90km race is one of the most technical ultra trail races and also one of the most demanding in its category with narrow, sometimes exposes paths, snowy sections, and an average altitude above the 2000m mark.
See the sunrise on the Mont-Blanc, cross the Emosson dam in Switzerland, follow along the Mer de Glace glacier, run beneath the Aiguille du Midi and finally come down into the sparkling lights of Chamonix...
For participate on this race it's recommended having a really good experience in montagne races, to be confident on all the fields and to be autonomous during several hours. We bring your attention that a runner who don't have an ITRA cotation more than 410 points (check here) as unlikely to finish the race, it's more recommended for him to participate at another races of Mont Blanc Marathon.

Race bibs distribution :
To get their bibs on the 90km runners will have to show their race bag with all their mandatory equipment to be checked. It will also allow the organisation to put a chronometric chip. No bib will be given to runners who don't have their equipment controlled. No bib will be given less than 30 minutes before the race start.
Mandatory equipment :
- Working mobile phone. It must work and have a subscruption adapted to the countries (France and Switzerland).
- A reserve of at least 1 litre of water.
- Waterproof and windproof jacket with hood (gore tex type) adapted to its size.
- Clothing hot second layer long sleeve adapted to its size.
- Headlamp with spare batteriesHeadlamp with spare batteries.
- Survival blanket (140cm x 200cm).
- Personnal cup.
- ID card with picture.
